Michelle Denny Recruitment is partnering with a professional business located in the heart of Diss.  We are recruiting for a permanent Accounts Clerk, to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm and are offering an excellent salary, which will be discussed on application.

This is a newly created position and would be great for someone who is a hands-on and loves working with numbers.  The role needs someone who enjoys functioning independently & discreetly and will have their own quiet office from which to work.

Working alongside the external accountant, duties will include:

• Bank reconciliation – UK, Dollar and Euro accounts

• Dealing with a high volume of transactions

• Working with foreign currencies

• Preparation of accounts to trial balance

• Credit card reconciliations and posting

• Purchase Ledger – expense invoices and preparation of payments schedules

• Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns

• Sales Ledger – Receipts posting (on a cover basis)

You’ll need to be:

• Experienced within accounts / finance

• Able to deal confidently and professionally with all parties

• Ideally knowledgeable with Sage 200 (or similar system) and have competent IT & MS Office skills

• Highly organised and detailed focused

• Discreet and happy to work autonomously
