Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside one of the longest-standing cafés in Diss, the Angel Café. We are looking for people to join the vibrant team, where your working hours can be anywhere between 8am and 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday, so if you’re looking for full time or particularly searching for school hours only, this could suit you perfectly!

So, are you passionate about creating delicious culinary experiences and providing top-notch customer service? We're seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join the Angel Café team as Café Cook and Front of House members.

CAFÉ  COOK:

As a Café Cook, you'll be the heart of the kitchen, sharing with the other cooks, the responsibility for crafting mouth-watering dishes that leave customers smiling. Your creativity, attention to detail, and culinary expertise will play a crucial role in delighting guests' taste buds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining high quality and presentation standards.

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu offerings.

• Ensure proper food safety and hygiene practices are followed.

• Manage inventory and kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed.

• Contribute to a positive and organised kitchen environment.

What you’ll need:

• Ideally some experience as a cook in a cafe or similar setting.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Friendly communication and teamwork skills.

• Food safety certification is a plus but not a necessity.

FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF:

As a Front of House staff member, you'll be the face of the Angel Café, creating memorable experiences for guests from the moment they walk through the doors. Your friendly demeanour, excellent communication skills and attention to customer needs will be essential in ensuring customers have an enjoyable time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome customers, taking and managing their orders efficiently.

• Provide recommendations on menu offerings and accommodate special dietary needs.

• Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

• Process transactions accurately and handle cash and card payments.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organised café environment.

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred but full training can be given, especially if you’ve got a great positive attitude!

• Ability to multitask and handle busy periods with composure and a smile.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
