Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside the well-known family business, Simonds Coach & Travel, based in Diss. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Coach Drivers to join the team and contribute to the mission of delivering safe, comfortable, and reliable travel services. Depending on your experience, hourly rates will vary from £12.75 to £16.35 and there are some great benefits, including:

• Discounted rates on parts and labour in the workshop for staff members vehicle (cars and vans)

• Purpose built facilities as a base – including designated staff room, personal lockers, secure parking for your vehicle while you are at work

• Free uniform (smart presentation is exceptionally important to Simonds)

• CPC training (1 x 7-hour course per year) to maintain DQC (Driver Qualification Card)

• 29 days annual leave (pro rata for part time)

There are several types of employment options available, ranging from full or part time hours, school runs and term-only shifts patterns, so whichever contract suits your lifestyle, it could possibly be accommodated to fulfil some or even all the following:

• Local bus services – all starting in Diss and going to Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Beccles

• Home to school transport for all the local high schools – Diss, Eye, Long Stratton, Harleston and Stradbroke

• Simonds own day excursions, tour and holiday programs (UK and European)

• Specific commercial contracts and private (flower shows, theatre trips etc)

• Private hire – a business, an individual or school could hire a driver and vehicle to fulfil an itinerary especially set by them, so the world is your oyster!

A DBS will be needed for all drivers but don’t worry if you haven’t yet got one, Simonds will arrange and fund your application.
