EARLY YEARS NURSERY PRACTITIONER
Michelle Denny Recruitment is pleased to be assisting the Ofsted Outstanding accredited Loddon Nursery School with their search for a Nursery Practitioner (maternity cover to start January 2023), to work alongside the small and dedicated teams, in the aged 2 - 3 Caterpillar Room. Pay is negotiable according to experience and in addition to the 5.6 weeks annual leave, you’ll also have your birthday off!
The nursery has been under the leadership of a dedicated owner whose tenure is fast approaching 30 years; showing a long-established commitment to continuously provide outstanding Early Years Education in a warm and caring environment and where the whole team is supported by a collaborative work culture where Continuous Professional Development is actively encouraged.
As with all Nursery Practitioner roles, each day is a busy one, where you will be helping with all aspects of the room, including:
Developing nurturing relationships with families and children
Working within the nursery’s accredited Curiosity Approach setting
Assuming the key person role
Observing and ‘In the moment’ planning
Actively participating in providing the children with inspirational and interesting resources
Experience, Qualifications & Personal Attributes required:
Recent experience within Early Years education and care
Knowledge and understanding of EYFS (ideally qualified at a minimum Level 3)
Understanding of Curiosity Approach settings would be useful
An excellent standard of both written and spoken English
Knowledge of the Tapestry platform would be useful (although full training will be given)
Friendly, team-orientated and hopefully, a nice sense of humour!
Hours for this position are currently:
Mon: 7.45am - 12 noon
Tues: 7.45am - 4.00pm
Wed: 7.45am - 4.00pm
Thur: 7.45am - 6.00pm
Fri: 7.45am - 6.00pm
The nursery is open for 50 weeks a year, closing for 2 weeks over Christmas.
Lunch is a 30-minute unpaid break per day.
