Michelle Denny Recruitment is recruiting for a West Ipswich business who are looking to hire a keen Entry Level Customer Service Advisor to join their team. You’ll have the choice of core hours of either 8.30am-5.00pm or 9.00am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday and the starting salary is £19,760pa.
This is such a good opportunity for someone wishing to develop into a customer serving role – you’ll be trained to provide an excellent service to customers contacting the Service Centre, to the first point of contact and to ensure customers receive a prompt and courteous service.
Main responsibilities:
Answering and processing of customers’ calls, service requests and parts enquiries and orders, providing advice and information
Communicate with customers to advise on estimated arrival times for service calls, and ETA of parts supply orders
Plan appointments and communicate with customers in conjunction for planned maintenance visits, installations and commissioning of equipment.
Capture and input of data from incoming service and parts requests onto an in-house service management system.
Assist to supervise and allocate engineers’ workloads and parts supply
Monitor and arrange for return of parts
Handle non-credit account customers’ payments via credit and debit cards.
Skills & knowledge:
Confident and friendly interpersonal skills when communicating with external and internal customers.
Proficient IT skills – Excel, Word and Outlook (training will be given on in-house systems) and good literacy & numeracy skills
Demonstrate empathy and always understanding when communicating with customers.
A proven record of working within a service-based environment as part of a team. To be able to work independently when required.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet all time deadlines.
Good attention to detail when inputting information on in-house & customers’ own IT systems.
Have a keenness to develop a good understanding of the company’s equipment range and its operational workings to provide accurate spare parts information (full training provided).
Working hours:
Core hours: Monday to Friday
8.30am – 5.00pm | 9.00am – 5.30pm (flexible between the two, or static preferred choice)
Weekend coverage rota – currently 1 in every 4 weeks, shared within the team, and you’ll receive additional pay for any weekend worked.
Saturday: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
Sunday: 9.00 am - 3.00 pm
Please note that you’ll need to have access to your own transport due to the office location.
