Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside Merit Plastic Mouldings in Diss to find them a Supplier Quality Lead to join the vibrant Operations team. Salary is up to £40,000pa and has a working week of 37.5 hours (8.30am start) Monday to Friday.
This Quality Lead opportunity is particularly interesting, especially if you’ve been looking for a role that gives you both hands-on and managerial responsibilities, which will allow you the scope to make a wide-ranging impact and progress. You’ll be the central point for the company’s quality management function and will be given the support to run this fundamental department to its maximum efficiency.
Overview of responsibilities: (there is a detailed job description available)
Coordinate and manage the Quality Department
Plan, develop and implement the ISO 9001 Quality System
Review quality and reject data and confidently and knowledgeably communicate internally and with suppliers & customers
To participate in quality planning meetings to develop and implement new customer / contract requirements
Management of the Customer Complaints & Continuous Improvement systems
Conduct supplier commercial risk assessments
Plan and implement the company’s audit system to ISO9001 standard
Coordinate the review and creation of quality processes, procedures and work instruction, complying with ISO and Merit standards
Report monthly to Directors on Quality KPI, metrics, reject levels and trends
Collate, analyse and issue performance data reports
Assess customer QA Guideline requirements & procedures to ensure compliance
What you’ll need:
Superb communications skills across all levels
Ability to work with intricate attention to detail
Sound knowledge and understanding of auditing and audit systems
Solid IT skills with the ability to analyse data and report effectively
Good time management and the ability to run with the changes
A personable, friendly, communicative and team-spirited approach
Your knowledge of ISO 9001 and H&S legislation, along with your understanding of metrology and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, would be advantageous.
