Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside a Diss based property practice to find a keen and enthusiastic individual to join as a Trainee Conveyancing Assistant. Salary is in the range of £18,000 - £19,000pa, with hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week). The role comes with starting annual leave of 23 days, plus bank holidays.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for you if you are interested in starting a career in property law and are willing to learn and develop your office-based skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the conveyancing team and assist in the management of the practice’s busy workload. You will be trained in all aspects of the conveyancing process, from opening files to post-completion work.
Duties will include:
Providing reception support, meeting & greeting visitors
Certifying client ID and accepting signed terms of engagement and property forms
Answering incoming calls and dealing with general update enquiries from clients and estate agents
Drafting and sending quotations
Setting up new client files and initial correspondence
Closing files and archiving
Preparing and saving correspondence and documents using the digital dictation system
Dealing with the incoming and outgoing post
Following initial training, you will also be operating a case management system, allowing you to independently generate correspondence and documents, so your responsibilities will grow as you learn!
