Looking for a hands-on role where attention to detail really matters? We're recruiting a Quality Inspector for Merit Plastic Mouldings in Diss. Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a positive attitude, an eye for detail and an interest in manufacturing. Working rotating shifts, you'll help ensure products consistently meet the high standards expected by customers.

Quality Inspector

Diss, Norfolk | £25,000 per annum + Performance-Linked Bonus | 37.5 hours per week | Rotating shifts (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)


If you're naturally curious, enjoy understanding how things work and take pride in getting the details right, this could be the role for you.


We're working with Merit Plastic Mouldings in Diss to find then a Quality Inspector to join the team. 


Full training will be provided, so whilst some manufacturing or production experience would be beneficial, it's not essential. What matters most is a positive attitude, attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Working across the factory floor, you'll play an important role in ensuring products consistently meet the high standards expected by both the business and its customers.


What you'll be doing

  • Checking incoming materials, products in production and finished goods

  • Carrying out measurements and quality inspections

  • Approving first-off products before production begins

  • Recording inspection results and maintaining quality documentation

  • Monitoring production standards and highlighting any issues

  • Supporting investigations into defects and quality concerns

  • Working closely with production colleagues to maintain quality standards

  • Confidence following procedures and recording information accurately

  • A genuine interest in manufacturing, engineering or quality

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
