This is a varied position that combines bookkeeping, membership administration and office support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and numbers. Working alongside the General Manager and office team, you'll play an important role in helping to keep the Club running smoothly.

If you're the sort of person who likes having a handle on the numbers, enjoys keeping things organised and doesn't mind turning your hand to the wider administration of a busy office, this could be just the role you're hoping for.


Diss Golf Club is seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper to support the day to day financial and administrative activities of the Club.


Working alongside the General Manager and office team, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and helping ensure the office runs smoothly. This is a varied role where you'll be involved in everything from bookkeeping and reconciliations to membership administration and member enquiries.


The position is offered on a 20 hour per week basis. Ideally, these hours will be worked between 9.30am and 2.30pm, Tuesday to Friday, although some flexibility may be considered for the right person.


What will you be doing?


  • Maintaining financial records using Xero

  • Processing supplier invoices and payments

  • Recording income from memberships, visitors, competitions, societies and events

  • Supporting membership subscriptions and renewals

  • Carrying out bank reconciliations

  • Assisting with monthly accounts information

  • Maintaining stock and asset records where required

  • Supporting payroll administration when needed

  • Responding to member enquiries

  • Providing general office and administrative support


What are we looking for?


  • You'll have previous bookkeeping or accounts experience and be comfortable using accounting software such as Xero.

  • Beyond that, we're looking for someone who is organised, practical and happy managing a varied workload. 

  • You'll enjoy working with people as much as you enjoy working with numbers and will take pride in ensuring things are completed accurately and on time.within a golf club, membership organisation, hospitality or leisure setting would be advantageous, although by no means essential.

  • You'll be happy to work on-site, as this is not a hybrid role.
