Michelle Denny Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with Preservation Equipment Ltd, a respected and long-established business based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, as they look to welcome an experienced Business Development Manager into their team.

Preservation Equipment design and supply specialist products used by museums, archives, libraries and heritage organisations worldwide. This newly created role blends relationship management with thoughtful business growth, giving you the opportunity to build on strong existing customer relationships while also identifying new opportunities to extend the reach of their trusted products and services.


The business continues to invest in both people and technology, ensuring they remain at the forefront of their market. As Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next phase of their growth.


Working pattern

You’ll begin mainly in the office while you get to know the team, products and customers. Once you’re settled, the role becomes hybrid, with a mix of home working, client visits and attending exhibitions.


What you’ll be doing

  • Build strong relationships with existing customers

  • Identify new business opportunities, markets and growth areas

  • Develop and deliver strategic sales plans

  • Generate leads and engage prospective customers by phone and face to face

  • Attend exhibitions and trade events

  • Work closely with colleagues across customer service and marketing

  • Take a collaborative, hands-on approach to supporting business growth


About you

  • Experience in business development or account management

  • Background in production or manufacturing (printing, packaging or conversion an advantage)

  • Commercial, strategic mindset with a relationship-led approach

  • Confident presenting, negotiating and influencing

  • Strong IT skills (Sage 200 experience beneficial)

  • Full UK driving licence, with some travel required
