Part-Time HR Officer

15-18 hours per week  |  £30,000-£34,000 pro rata  |  Diss, Norfolk  |  Hybrid

Michelle Denny Recruitment is working with Citizens Advice Diss & Thetford (CADAT) to find an experienced HR professional for a standalone part-time role at the heart of a genuinely important local organisation.

CADAT helps people across Norfolk and Suffolk navigate some of the hardest moments of their lives - debt, housing, benefits, relationships. The people who work there care about what they do. This role exists to support them to do it well.

The role

This is a broad, independent HR position covering the full employee lifecycle. You'll be the only HR person in the organisation, which means real variety, real autonomy, and the kind of environment where your judgement actually matters.

Day-to-day you'll handle employee relations, contracts, policies, recruitment, onboarding, absence management, and HR systems - working directly with managers and supporting them to handle people matters with confidence.

No two weeks will look the same. You're the kind of person who figures things out rather than waiting to be told.

About you

You're a generalist HR professional who's comfortable working independently and doesn't need a team around them to do good work. You build trust quickly, give practical advice people can actually act on, and you know when to be firm and when to be flexible.

CIPD qualified is great, but we're more interested in what you've actually done. BreatheHR experience is a bonus.

The practicalities

-15-18 hours per week, worked across a minimum of two days on site in Diss

-Hybrid working available for remaining hours

-DBS check required

-Applying means consenting to your CV being shared directly with CADAT

Why this one?

Plenty of part-time HR roles offer flexibility. Fewer offer the chance to genuinely shape how an organisation looks after its people. If meaningful work and real autonomy matter to you, this is worth a conversation.

To apply, click the button – by applying you are agreeing to have your details forwarded to CADAT who will be in contact directly, should they feel your background is suitable for the position.
