Motor Vehicle Trainer

Michelle Denny Recruitment is supporting the brilliant training organisation, Open Road Norfolk who are opening their new site in Thetford in January. We're looking to find someone with real motor trade experience who wants to make a genuine difference to young people. If you know your way around a workshop and enjoy helping others learn, this role has real purpose and impact. Salary is £30,000pa, working 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm. This job could be either on an interim or permanent basis, depending on your needs.

You don’t need to be a teacher - just someone with solid motor vehicle knowledge, patience and a steady, supportive approach.

What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting young people with hands-on motor vehicle tasks
- Showing safe, confident workshop techniques
- Helping them understand IMI theory and qualification work
- Building their confidence, skills and belief
- Keeping the workshop positive, structured and safe

What you need:
- Motor mechanic experience or a recognised qualification
- A clear, encouraging way of explaining things
- Patience, calmness and strong safety awareness

The details:

Working on the Shadwell Estate in Thetford
Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm
Occasional travel to the King’s Lynn site

£30,000 per year based on 37 hours a week, paid monthly.
