JOB DETAILS

Michelle Denny Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing business in Diss for a Production Technician. This is a role for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day running of production rather than standing at the same machine all shift. Sitting a step above operator level, you'll become a key part of the production team, helping to keep manufacturing running smoothly, solving problems as they arise and supporting colleagues across the shop floor.

If you're looking for a hands-on role where your practical experience is valued and every day brings something a little different, this could be well worth exploring.

Why this role matters

Production doesn't stand still, and neither will you. Working alongside Team Leaders and colleagues across the factory, you'll help keep production on track by responding to issues, carrying out tool setting, supporting changeovers and maintaining the quality standards the business is known for.

You'll also contribute to production trials, continuous improvement activities and ensuring health, safety and housekeeping standards remain high throughout every shift.

What you'll be doing

  • Responding quickly to production issues to minimise downtime

  • Carrying out tool setting in line with production requirements

  • Supporting tool changes and production changeovers

  • Working to production instructions and quality standards

  • Assisting with production trials and process improvements

  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health and safety

  • Working closely with Team Leaders to ensure smooth handovers between shifts

  • Helping keep production running efficiently throughout your shift

What you'll bring

You'll already have experience within a manufacturing or production environment and enjoy working in a practical, hands-on role.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience

  • Good mechanical or technical understanding

  • A practical approach to problem solving

  • Good attention to detail

  • The ability to work rotating shifts

  • A reliable, positive and team-focused approach

What's on offer

  • Permanent, full-time position

  • Salary up to £30,000 per annum

  • Rotating shifts of 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm

  • Performance-related bonus

  • Opportunity to continue developing your skills

  • On-site role based in Diss, Norfolk
