Michelle Denny Recruitment is working in partnership with Merit Plastic Mouldings to recruit a Production Technician for their busy manufacturing site in Diss. This is a hands-on, shift-based role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to the process and keeping production running smoothly during their shift.
About the Role
As a Production Technician, you’ll play an important role in maintaining efficiency, quality and output on the shop floor. Working closely with the Team Leader, you’ll troubleshoot issues as they arise, support tooling trials and ensure mouldings are produced in line with established work instructions.
This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, working with machinery and taking ownership of technical issues during their shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Troubleshooting production issues to maintain quality and output
• Working strictly to tool setting and production work instructions
• Supporting new tooling trials and process improvements
• Assisting with supervision in the absence of the Team Leader
• Maintaining good housekeeping and compliance standards
• Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth shift handovers
About You
You’ll be technically minded, practical and comfortable working rotating shifts. You’ll enjoy working on the shop floor, responding to issues in real time and contributing to a well-run production environment.
Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is important, along with a strong awareness of quality, safety and teamwork.
Working Arrangements
• Rotating shifts: 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm
• Full time, permanent role
• Based on site in Diss
