JOB DETAILS

Rainbows Day Nursery in Diss is looking for someone special – a caring, committed SENCO who believes that every child deserves the same chance to learn, grow and shine.

This isn’t a role that sits quietly in the background. It’s about being part of the heartbeat of the nursery, helping to make sure every child gets the support they need and that staff feel confident doing the same.

If you’re someone who naturally spots what makes each child unique and you love finding ways to help them flourish, you’ll fit in brilliantly here.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working alongside a supportive nursery team to meet each child’s individual needs.

  • Leading on early identification and intervention for children with additional or special educational needs.

  • Building trusted relationships with parents, families and external agencies to make sure every child gets the right help at the right time.

  • Sharing your knowledge and giving guidance to colleagues – whether that’s mentoring, training or just being a reassuring sounding board.

  • Helping to keep nursery practices up-to-date, inclusive and effective for every child who walks through the door.

What we’re looking for

You’ll already have some early years experience and a genuine passion for inclusion and child development.

You’ll bring:

  • A kind, patient and positive attitude.

  • The confidence to work with parents and professionals.

  • A collaborative way of working and a calm approach when things get busy.

  • SENCO training – or be happy to take it on with the nursery’s full support.
