Michelle Denny Recruitment has been appointed by Barric to recruit a Surface Mount Team Leader for its electronics manufacturing operation in Diss.

With many employees having built long careers within the business, Barric has earned a reputation for quality, stability and building capability from within. 

As production demand continues to grow, the company is looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with leadership, helping to strengthen capability within a key area of the operation.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a small but critical department. Working closely with the Production Manager, you'll balance hands-on involvement with leadership responsibilities, supporting the day-to-day running of the Surface Mount team while helping to improve processes, build capability and strengthen resilience for the future.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and supporting a small Surface Mount team

• Allocating workloads and coordinating daily priorities

• Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are achieved

• Identifying training needs and helping build team capability

• Working closely with colleagues across production and quality functions

• Supporting equipment maintenance and operational efficiency

• Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintaining a safe, positive and productive working environment

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have experience within electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly or a Surface Mount environment and be comfortable working with both people and processes.

Experience of some or all of the following would be advantageous:

• Pick and place machines

• Screen printers

• AOI systems

• Reflow ovens

• X-ray inspection equipment

• PCB assembly processes

• Electronics manufacturing environments

You may already be working as a Team Leader or Supervisor, or perhaps you're an experienced technician ready to step into a leadership role.
