We’re working with a well invested and established manufacturing business on the Norfolk / Suffolk border to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to play a central role in the future direction of the organisation.

This is a senior, hands on technical leadership role, offering long term progression and clear succession planning within a stable, quality focused manufacturing environment.

Salary from £50,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, alongside a strong overall benefits package and UK relocation support where required.

The business is happy to have initial conversations before Christmas, with interviews progressing into the New Year.

The role:

• As Technical Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of the operation, providing technical leadership across plastic injection moulding, production and quality.

• You’ll act as the senior technical authority within the business.

• You’ll support Production and Quality teams with day to day technical expertise.

• You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers and tooling partners to ensure robust, efficient and commercially sound manufacturing processes.

• You’ll lead process improvement, cost efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

• You’ll drive high standards of quality, efficiency and delivery performance.

• You’ll work cross functionally to support operational and commercial objectives.

This role suits someone comfortable balancing detailed technical problem solving with broader leadership responsibility.

About you:

• You’ll be an experienced Technical Manager or senior technical professional, ideally from a plastic injection moulding or closely related manufacturing environment.

• You’ll bring strong technical knowledge of plastic moulding processes.

• You’ll have proven experience leading and influencing technical teams.

• You’ll be confident engaging with customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

• You’ll have a practical, solutions focused and commercially aware approach.

• You’ll be comfortable being hands on when needed.

• You’ll have the credibility and ambition to grow into broader leadership responsibility over time.

A degree in Engineering would be advantageous, though is not essential for the right individual.
