SARS in Action: A Lifesaver in Our Community


Volunteer clinicians from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) are often the first on scene in life-threatening emergencies across the county. They’re passionate about raising awareness of CPR and defibrillator use, because early bystander intervention can be the difference between life and death in out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.


Every saved life is a testament to the community’s collective efforts,and SARS consistently leads that charge.


Their training outreach underscores a vital truth: equipping people with CPR skills significantly improves survival outcomes.

The CPR Training Gap and the Opportunity


Recent research by Resuscitation Council UK reveals a concerning truth: nearly 40% of UK secondary school students left school without formal CPR training. Yet, over 70% of those who were taught feel confident to act in an emergency (aace.org.uk). We want to help close that gap starting now.

This September, in partnership with SARS, we’ll host a free half-day CPR and defibrillator training session in Diss. Thanks to generous support from Reads Property Services, we’ve secured a venue and will provide light refreshments.
